Pond Liners Liners are a very simple and cost effective way of constructing a pond which can be easily adapted for many different shapes and sizes. We supply a wide range of liners that are used to create small decorative ponds, shaped water features, golf course obstacles, large natural lakes in business parks and municipal parklands, and open reservoirs. The choice of material depends on the application, size and shape of the pond, site conditions and budget. Stephens Plastics’ teams of experienced site operators can install our products throughout the UK. Tanking For many years Stephens Plastics has been helping customers solve their water storage problems. Our tanks are ideal for providing large volumes of water especially for highly seasonal demand and / or remote locations; our liners prevent leakage, which minimises water costs, and also stop ground water pollution; our covers prevent odour emissions or reduce evaporation which minimizes water costs. Our teams of experienced site operators and installers are available throughout the UK. Personal Protection Stephens Plastics products are found in some of the worlds most arduous environments. Our range of personal protective suits, hoods and bags are specifically designed for use in the nuclear industry. All products adhere to the most stringent standards. Contact us for more information. Garden Ponds Our range of garden liners is specifically designed for the smaller more compact pond or water feature. We supply an extensive range of sizes in four different materials; 1.00mm Firestone, 0.75mm Aqua Butyl, 0.5mm Aquaplan PVC and 0.3mm Aquaplan PVC. We highly recommend that all liners are installed with Protective Matting. For more complex designs, shaped liners can be created on site or prefabricated in our factory. Decorative Lakes Our experience with large garden ponds and decorative lakes is second to none. We are therefore happy to advise on installation, detailing and recommend which materials to use, typically 1.00mm Firestone or 0.75mm Aqua Butyl. It is essential that the liners are installed with Protective Matting. Reservoirs Our 1.00mm Firestone liner is ideal for water storage reservoirs such as irrigation systems for horticulture and nurseries. It is supplied either as a single sheet or in large panels, which are then joined together on site. The liner is part of a complete system that caters for all construction detailing, including fixing systems for concrete walls, pre-formed pipe sleeves for inlets and outlets, flashing material for internal and external angles etc. Other specialist liner materials are also available. It is essential that the liners are installed with Protective Matting. Shaped Liners As well as supplying flat sheets for larger more natural sites our experience enables us to create formal shapes for ponds or water features. These can be made either on site or prefabricated in our factory using 0.75mm Aqua Butyl. We can supply rectangular, circular or other special shapes to specification incorporating features such as planting shelves, preformed pipe sleeves for inlet / outlet pipes etc. As standard, the liners include an overlap that enables them to be fixed under coping stones. It is essential that the liners are installed with Protective Matting. Tank Liners Stephens Plastics has many years experience supplying prefabricated tank liners to exacting sizes and shapes. We supply 0.75mm and 1.00mm Butyl (standard grade or WRc potable drinking water quality) as well as 0.75mm EPDM liners, which can be fitted with a sump and supplied with preformed pipe sleeves. Internally hung liners are fitted with reinforcement scrim and externally hung liners can be supplied with capping strips and fixing straps. It is essential that the liners are installed with Protective Matting, supplied as loose sheets or as a preformed Matting Bag. Reservoirs Our 1.00mm Firestone liner is ideal for water storage reservoirs such as irrigation systems, settlement ponds and reed beds used to filter dirty water. It is supplied as a single sheet or in large panels that are then joined together on site. The liner is part of a complete system that caters for all construction detailing, including fixing systems for concrete walls, pre-formed pipe sleeves for inlets and outlets, flashing material for internal and external angles etc. Other specialist materials are also available. It is essential that the liners are installed with Protective Matting Slurry Liners Liners are a very effective way of preventing ground water pollution from slurry storage. We can supply either 1.00mm Firestone or 1.00mm Fecatex, which has been developed for especially aggressive slurry contents. The system can be completely closed by using Genatex 850 as a cover, which enables Methane gas to be vented or drawn off as a potential source of fuel. The cover can be supplied with inflated floating cushions to keep it from sinking, preformed pipe sleeves for inlets/outlets and slurry mixing system. Floating Covers A Floating cover is an easy and effective solution for reducing evaporation, and preventing algae growth. It is manufactured from 0.5mm Aquatex, which incorporates tiny holes that allows rainwater to percolate through to prevent ponding on the surface. The covers can be fitted to open reservoirs, or steel/concrete tanks either as a new installation or on existing sites. The covers are fitted with a water filled perimeter hose to prevent wind uplift plus a guide system to allow the cover to rise and fall with the water level. Fixed Tank Covers Designed to prevent odour emissions, evaporation and to prevent contamination, the tank covers are manufactured from Genatex 850 and supported by a complete frame structure that spans the entire tank. The covers are fixed onto the outside of the tank and tensioned onto the frame by means of ratchet straps. For small to medium tanks, the covers are manufactured from lighter weight materials and supported by a central pole.
